Causes of Gingival Recession
Causes of gingival recession could be an abnormal tooth position, aggressive brushing, gum trauma, periodontal disease, or can simply be due to fragile gingival tissue through heredity.
Traditional techniques for correcting gingival recession usually involved a connective tissue graft. Through this procedure, donor tissue is taken from the roof of the mouth and the wound is then sutured back together.
